Year 6 Adventures at Barton Hall - Day Three
Nineteen very sleepy looking children and two very sleepy looking teachers emerged from their rooms five minutes before breakfast this morning... we definitely all slept well!
Once we'd had another yummy breakfast and all woken up a bit, another busy day awaited us... highlights included making it to the top of the climbing wall, swimming in the rain and building a camp in the woods (having first camouflaged ourselves with the contents of a muddy puddle!) The children are all still having a great time and can't believe that they are already over half-way through their holiday... no-one seems remotely interested in coming home (except the teachers!) and Long Sutton seems a whole world away. Everyone is eating well, impressing their instructors with their enthusiasm and good behaviour, and growing in confidence by the minute. The sun is going to shine again tomorrow and we have a whole morning on the lake planned. We'll let you know how wet we get... Love from Year 6, Mrs Florides and Mrs Harding x |
