SATs Results

All schools are required to formally assess all children at the end of each Key Stage - this is in addition to the school's ongoing programme of assessment.

At the end of Key Stage 1, this formal assessment is carried out through moderated teacher assessment.

At the end of Key Stage 2, children are required to take a number of tests in English and Maths.  Until this year, the children were also formally tested in Science.

All results are collected at county and national level; the children's attainment and the progress that they have made are both ways that the success of the school is monitored.  It is expected that an average Year 2 pupil will achieve L2 or above, and that an average Year 6 pupil will achieve L4 or above.
